About the Author
Artist Charlie Nozawa also published manga under the pen name Tamakichi Sakura. His most notable works include Shiawase No Katachi (Shapes of Happiness) and Oyaji No Wakuse (Dad’s Planet).

Kentaro Kawamoto was born in Tokyo in 1960 and attended the Department of Living Design at Kuwasawa Design School. He is a notorious artist, essayist, otaku, and all-around celebrity in Japan. His books include Armageddon and Me and Berabo na Hitobito. Takakuma's painting "A Dream-like Plan for the Thomas-ification of JR Chuo-line Locamotives"(2000, asrylic on linen on wood panel, 46"x35 3/4") appeared as part of the celebrated Superflat art exhibition.�His only other manga work published in English is Super Mario Adventures, which originally ran in Nintendo Power magazine and was collected in 1993 into a book of the same name. The long-out-of-print book is once again available in a new edition.

I purchased this for my 9 year old son. He hasn't put it down. He says it's really funny and laughed the whole time we were reading it. I added a picture of the inside to give an idea of what it looks like.

Fun and Engaging, Proper Video Game Adaptation

Awesome read for anyone familiar and unfamiliar with the Mario world.

Great art, funny and engaging characters and story, lighthearted tone with a nice balance of seriousness. One of the few great adaptations of video games into a storytelling medium. Anyone looking for something fun and interesting can enjoy, not exclusively for kids and teens. Thank you, Viz, for reprinting this (although I wish they would've used the original print's cover instead of this cheap one). Looked everywhere for this. Nintendo, this is how you translate video game stories well.

My one complaint is that it came in a fragile envelope instead of a nice, sturdy package. But that's not the book's fault.

Fantastic re-release of some classic Nintendo action.

VIZ Media's reproduction of this book is fantastic. I still have my old out-of-print copy of this book from the first time Nintendo published it in the early 90's. The re-released version has glossier pages, but virtually everything else is the same. The front and back covers and the first and last few pages are different (due to stylistic choices and different art being featured on these pages), but everything in between is exactly as it was first published. It's even the same SIZE as the original book, allowing the reader to gorge themselves on the detail of the fantastic art and coloring presented within.

I've included some photos of the original and the new release side-by-side as a comparison. The original is on the left, the re-release is on the right.

I really enjoy this new series. I hate that I have to pay so much for little bits of story but I get sucked in every time. I can't wait to see what happens in book 4 after how this one ended. Elijah and Caelyn have serious chemistry and I hope he gets his shit together. I think this series is better than the For His Pleasure series!

This was an amazing adventure

From the humble beginning as a commoner to his rise as a noble of the kingdom the main character of this book captivated me with the intricacies of thought someone so young and uneducated can have. I want to thank Taran Matharu for writing what has quickly become my favorite book series to date. I hope to see more of this world in the coming years.

A fantastic End!

From the beginnings, I was so happy to follow Fletcher through his journey, and now that the journey has come to an end, I can say that this was, and is a trilogy that has absolutely captured my heart. Taran Matharu's writing is simply superb, and I look forward to what he comes up with in the future.

An amazing end to a wonderful trilogy.

About the Author
Giovanni Civardi was born in Milan in 1947. While training to become a sculptor, portrait artist and illustrator at the Free Life-Study School of the Accademia di Brera, he also studied medicine and surgery. For over a decade, he worked as an illustrator, producing commissions for newspapers, magazines and book covers. During frequent trips to France and Denmark, Civardi put on one-man exhibitions of this work and pursued his interest in studying the relationship between medical anatomy and the human form as depicted by the artist. His experience gained from teaching anatomy, life drawing and portraiture in schools and institutions over many years has led to the publication of numerous books in which Civardi's experiences are brought into focus.

Peaches deserves to be a featured author, because I've read several romance novels, but I think Peaches' writing style is my favorite thus far. I'd love to read a full-length novel by her. She's very detailed (without being embarrassingly specific), and delivers a perfect description of wanting and the lead-up before smut (not to say that her smut scenes aren't good - they match up just as well!).

I'm very pleased with what I read. I highly recommend that if you have the chance, to buy Peaches' other works.

About the Author
Reuel B. Parker has spent a lifetime building, repairing, restoring, designing, and cruising in sail- and powerboats. Author of The New Cold-Molded Boatbuilding (International Marine, 1990) and of numerous articles for WoodenBoat and Boatbuilder magazines, he has been a devotee of sharpies since his childhood on the shores of Long Island Sound. He is currently putting the finishing touches on a 60-foot Virginia pilot schooner; he plans to move his design business aboard and go cruising.

A niche book, covering its subject completely, although it is not a big thick book. Glad to have purchased it and glad that it was written. Lots of detail about sharpie sailboat construction, design, history, and amusing anecdotes. A good gift for the boatbuilder or boat designer. Just ask Bruce Kirby (Laser).

Required reading if thinking about building a sharpie

Good book. Got a little technical in places and could have used illustrations to clarify verbiage; however I would concise it required reading if one is planning on building a sharpie.... Even if you are not using Parker's plans.

Great background for boatbuilding

I think the kernal of this book is the description of why plywood is a superior boat building material. (diagonal strength) I had been thinking of carvel planking as the best type of wood construction. I was wrong. Other than that, the book does a great job of describing the history of, and reason for, sharpies.

From what I read, I decided that a deeper, heavier, and stronger boat might be more appropriate for the inside passage to Alaska. Also, I'm just not short enough to spend much time in the cabin of a sharpie.

Good book, good read, and I will be buying the Ruel Parker book on cold molding.

About the Author
Edward Morgan (E.M.) Forster was born in 1879 in London and educated in Cambridge. After graduating, he traveled to Greece and Italy. The Story of a Panic was his first short story and was published in 1904. Forster taught in Germany and England. His first novel was Where Angels Fear to Tread, published in 1905. Forster joined the International Red Cross at the outbreak of World War I and was posted in Alexandria until 1919. In 1924, he published A Passage To India. He refused knighthood but was awarded the Order of Merit in 1969. He died in 1970.

This critical edition brings back the 1936 collection of essays by E. M. Forster. The collection aimed at representing the variety of Forster's interest and the purpose is fully achieved - we move from commentary on current political situation, literature both classical and contemporary, history of art and numerous subjects that Forster took fancy to from the beginning of the 20th century until mid-1930s.
The critical value of the volume lies in its careful editing - collating British and American edition as well as the surviving manuscripts and supplementing them with notes. There is also a double bonus for the reader. This is the first edition which brings back the essay "Flood in the Office" suppressed in the original edition (and for the publication of which Forster was sued for libel and had to pay �750 fine) and adds one more pageant, "England's Pleasant Land", fairly difficult to access as previously it was published only once in 1940.

My Wood

I've only read this one essay from Abinger Harvest. The essay is "My Wood." I highly encourage everyone to read this essay. Forster reflects on materialism vs ownership in and intriguing and amusing way. The essay is also chock-full of wonderful literary allusions. I took an advanced writing course at university and one of the assignments was to track down the sources of these allusions. It was both fun and educational. Cool stuff.
