He’d have to find a way to bring her around, but that wasn’t going to easy if he kept having to warm her backside trying to keep her out of mischief.

Great full length western book!!

I absolutely love it when the book I'm reading actually takes enough time to really tell a great story. This one does the job! And it does it extremely well!! Isabel's story is captivating from the very first page and Hutch is my perfect example of an alpha male!! The story engages you, and treats you to many memorable characters. Lots of well deserved spankings, too. The storyline keeps you interested throughout the entire book. I wish I could give it more stars! Well done! (Side note - I loved Great Aunt Winifred)

Best book I've read in a long time!

I loved this book! First of all, it is book length, not a novella. Second, there is a strong female main character who knows her worth and a male character that is strong enough to not care that his woman has more money than he has. Third, this is a book with a wonderful plot. If I could give it 10 stars I would! I stayed up all night because I couldn’t stop reading, I saw the sun rise!
OK, on to the review. This story is primarily about Isabel. She has been working as an unpaid servant for her brothers when she finally gets fed up and asks her Aunt Winifred if she can move in with her. Isabel has been visiting Winifred for years and sharing the stories that she has been putting on paper. Unknown to Isabel, Winifred has been selling them to magazines and has put all proceeds in account for her. Winifred recommends that she move out west to live in a house that she has inherited from a distant cousin. Isabel didn’t know that the cousin was very wealthy and owned most of the businesses in the town. While she is there, she meets the sheriff, Deputy Bill Hutchison. Deputy Hutch gets off to a bad start with Isabel by spanking her when she didn’t deserve it and then kissing her in front of the town gossip. But, he apologizes (I know, when does that happen?) and asks to court her. Isabel stands up to the misogynist men in the town and states what she is going to do and does it. She rescues Sarah and helps her find herself. Hutch defers to her in matters of her inheritance and her work. But, in matters of her safety, Isabel defers to Hutch, or her bottom pays for it.

I really enjoyed this story. I hope that Ms. Starr continues on with Hutch and Isabel’s story and also Sarah and Ben’s. I would love to read about it!

The Real Thing

Isabel is a young and self-reliant woman - ready to take on the world. But in the late 1800's the world certainly isn't ready for her! Fiery, spirited, and unwilling to be held back, Isabel chooses to leave her home town and head west. She can no longer tolerate the ungrateful, entitled, and even dishonest behaviors exhibited by her eldest brother. When she arrives in Overton Colorado, Isabel is confronted with a town filled with men who are just as bossy, much more crude, and just as dishonest. Isabel meets the town's handsome deputy after putting an unruly and overexcited half-whit in his place. Has she taken on more than she can manage?

I would classify this book as a romance with a spanking twist. The spankings are not over the top - nor is one occurring on every page. While spanking is part of this book - it isn't the only focus. The author writes a well formulated and complete story. This erotic romance is the real thing - book length and totally worth buying. It is not another novella that leaves you wanting and waiting for the next installment. The plot is well developed and thoughtful. I loved hating the story's villains - and waited for them to meet their comeuppance. I identified with this heroine and applauded her tenacity. And I couldn't help but cheer on for the hero when he takes our heroine in hand. My favorite part of the book was the romance that developed between the young doctor Ben and a lovely young woman who had been treated poorly by the town that should have been protecting her.

Bonnie L. Yegidis, Ph. D., MSW���� Bonnie Yegidis is Professor and Director of the School of Social Work at the University of South Florida, Tampa.� She teaches in the research methods and social work practice sequences in the School, and has conducted research on family violence,� cross-cultural issues in social work practice, and evidence based social work practice.� Dr. Yegidis earned her MSW degree from West Virginia University and her Ph. D. in Curriculum and Instruction, with a concentration in Measurement and Evaluation, from the University of South Florida.� She is the recipient of a number of awards and honors including Social Worker of the Year from the Georgia Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers, and the Distinguished Alum Award from West Virginia University.�

Robert �W. Weinbach, Ph.D., MSW.���� Bob Weinbach is Distinguished Professor Emeritus at the University of South Carolina, where he continues to teach graduate level research courses in the College of Social Work. He is also the first author of Statistics for Social Workers, Eighth Edition; The Social Worker as Manager, Sixth Edition; �and is the author of Evaluating Social Work Services and Programs (all published by Allyn & Bacon), as well as over 75 other �publications and invited book chapters. You will love it - or hate it! But truth can not be ignored!

If we all would be more conscious and aware of what is going on inside and outside ... this book/audio would not be needed. It really tells you what is 100% true, sense making reality: water is flowing down hill. We know it all ... but for some mysterious reason most of us are denying what is working and fabricating distorting views of reality ... that lead to nothing.

Kiss that frog shows in a clear and easy way some common misunderstandings - and the way out. Great inspiration!

It's great for people holding on to garbage from their past.

Brian Tracy usually does sales coaching and training. This is different. It's not rah rah stuff. It's real and thoughtful advice.This is personal development and insight that makes sense.

He covers why a child who is neglected or abused would then grow up and automatically blame and be defensive and angry at the world going forward. With some patience and insight, a person can start to see their own patterns causing grief in their own life.

I believe this and the book, Mindset, are excellent tools for understanding the big picture of human behavior, both providing logical guidelines to changing that behavior.

Nancy Tucker is a 21-year-old author and nanny. She suffered from both anorexia and bulimia nervosa throughout her teens, but is now on the road to recovery and began a degree at Oxford University to study Experimental Psychology in 2015. She lives in Oxford and London.

August has been an interesting month because I’ve started quite a few wonderful books, only to discontinue them halfway through. I can be a picky, fickle reader when I have an overabundance of reading material. That’s ironic, isn’t it?

I started Nancy’s memoir at work to get through a slow couple of hours, and was immediately entranced by the rawness of her literary voice. I still find it hard to believe that she was only twenty-one when she penned her memoir. In it she documents her life growing up in a lower middle class, blended family in London. Throughout her childhood, she’s plagued with the need to excel at all things and be perfect. Eventually this perfectionism ideation turns inward, when she realizes that all of her friends are smaller in size when compared to herself.

Nancy doesn’t glamorize her disorder or take the “woe is me” approach. Instead she offers a glimpse into her troubled mind, the voices that propel her to deny her body of nutrients, and the devastating effects this has on herself and those who love her. I especially understood her desire to come to terms with how something as harmless as “the diet” evolved into such a dangerous journey, and how recovery isn’t always linear.

"Recovery is recognising that some things have a place, but most do not; that, at any one time, some things will be in their place, but most will not – and that in these times there will still be a world which turns and a soul in your body and people who love you."

About the Author

Christy Butler
is a visual artist with an Associate Degree in Liberal Studies-Majoring in Design, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration majoring in Marketing and Management. Other related studies include Mass Communications, Filmmaking and Photography. After being published in variety of Literary and Specialty Magazines, along with other Audio-Visual endeavors, Butler created and directed a grant-funded and web-based archive of veteran’s personal photos from their military experiences www.shoeboxphotos.net. This was followed by a series of New England State Waterfall posters created with Jan Butler. www.berkshirephotos.com. Collaborations with author Russell Dunn, began with the publication of Berkshire Region Waterfall Guide and later Connecticut Waterfalls: A Guide. Rockachusetts is their latest collaboration.


Russell Dunn
is a New York State licensed hiking guide who has written seven waterfall guidebooks covering Vermont, eastern New York State, western Massachusetts, and Connecticut (co-authored with Christy Butler); three paddling guidebooks covering New York’s Greater Capital Region; two hiking guidebooks (co-authored with Barbara Delaney) covering the Adirondacks and New York’s Greater Capital Region; a book of Adventures around the Great Sacandaga Lake; a 3-D Guide to New York’s Empire State Plaza and its large works of art (co-authored with Barbara Delaney), and Ausable Chasm: In Pictures and Story (co-authored with John Haywood & Sean Reines).
