Potter's Philosophy of Science

I just used this book in a course and it worked beautifully to give students an overview of the debates over facts and values, objectivity, and bias. This is not just a book that summarizes though, but also one that advances a clear argument about how to understand the social dimensions of science. It also usefully includes a discussion of both natural and social sciences--a rarity in philosophy of science books. Wonderful introduction!
